could have imagined…

Picture this. Thousands of people are using this formula.
Every day, someone else is setting up an RSS reader to
fire articles into their Twitter stream! These articles
are coming from a very potent combination of tools
that yank articles from a variety of NON-RSS sources.

These articles have nothing more than the right keywords
in their title…

Let’s say someone is pulling in all stories with the words
“Nancy Pelosi” in the title. They use this toolbox and
shoot this stream of articles into their Twitter stream.
Now I want to take advantage of this person’s audience.

I write an article about how my product was ignored by
Nancy Pelosi and I entitle it “New Internet Marketing
Product Snubbed By Nancy Pelosi!” The software tools
that this person is using will snag that article simply
because his title contains that set of keywords. All of
a sudden, his article is getting all kinds of backlinks
because of the RSS that is created by the followers

Building The Dream!

I sometimes need to build the dream a little bit to get myself going every day. So I thought that I would show you a dream that is in my future.

The Carnival Dream is under construction as we speak, the maiden voyage is scheduled for October of this year. But I am already booked for the January 9th, 2010 voyage of this amazing ship! The Lido deck is on the 10th deck instead of the 9th like on most other cruise ships.

Anyway, I had to tell you about this Dream of mine, since this is what makes me get up in the morning and write when I don’t feel like it. Today I watched the videos and remembered that my friends can come along by signing up at FVRCuise.com where you can make a deposit to reserve your cabin, then the balance is not due until October.

Twitwall Nuggets

When you write to your Twitwall, don’t put the entire post there! You want to get someone’s interest with the first paragraph, and then drive them to your blog. That is the way to bring home the traffic!

@megsmarketing uses Twitwall to drive traffic to her main blog!

By using content nuggets like this, you are finding out how committed the readers are. In the seduction world, they say that if you can get someone to follow you to at least 3 places, you can get them to your home. You want to get your followers to follow you home, too, and the best way to do that is to lead them with good content!

Twitwall allows you to embed video, audio and images along with your posts – which happen to get tweeted, too! So with a single Twitwall post, you can get a percentage of your listeners to come see what you wrote and lead them to your blog!

Controversy Rocks On Twitwall!

Did you write something that gets readers’ panties in a bunch? Let them comment on Twitwall, because the comments will also each send a tweet to the Twitter stream so that even more people will be drawn into the conversation! You could choose a topic that could end up going viral just by taking a controversial stand!

I remember when Rick Butts said that you should unsubscribe from the marketer’s lists who all use the very same promotion email, down to the identical subject line. He got so many people hot under the collar that Ross Goldberg commented his opinion that it was silly to unsub from everyone’s list if you can get some knowledge from their other emails. Soon the back and forth caught the attention of Mashable and the pair eventually went on to discuss this topic on a Ustream.tv show and the whole thing was defused.

It got a lot of readers and commenters! Publicity accompanies controversy! No publicity is ever completely bad, because it familiarizes people with your name!

Twitter Backgrounds Revisited!

One of the tools I should have mentioned in Part 2 of this series was a Twitter Background Checker that allows you to see your background in multiple resolutions to be sure that you aren’t hiding important pieces of the image with Twitter’s logo and timeline!

Tweet Up The Volume!

I recently saw one of my friends starting to get a lot of new followers on Twitter… So one afternoon I peeked over his shoulder while he was working and my jaw dropped in amazement! He was getting 75% of his new followers totally on autopilot, yet his new followers believed he was taking the time to hand select them! From watching him (I took notes while he wasn’t looking) and I was able to figure it out.

Turns out that the system involves using a follower targeting program to help you find followers that are talking about the keywords that you have the software search out. This software then follows those people. About 40% autofollow, and they receive an AutoDM (direct message) asking them if they want to significantly add to their followers and a link to this program!

Is Twitter Breaking Down The Walls Between You And Your Customers?

Twitwall for posts too big for Twitter

When you are tweeting away, you are helping to build relationships – if you are doing it right. When you need to keep your prospects and customers informed, twitter is perfect, unless you have a lot to say. Then, Twitter’s big brother, Twitwall is the tool you need to keep your information in one place while still telling your tweeple about it.

Twitwall is a blog that is built right into Twitter, so that your posts will be tweeted to your followers. One strategy I recommend is to post to your main blog (the one on your own website) first, then post a teaser to it on Twitwall with a link to your blog for people to come get the rest of the story.

Linking from Twitwall is a good strategy, because of the SEO power it brings with it. So if you have Squidoo Lenses, Google Knols and Hubpages, link to them from your Twitwall and then link from the Hubs to your blog, to give them that much more power.

I haven’t tried this with Twitwall yet, but this widget is really cool for keeping the latest tweets on a particular topic on your blog, meaning that people will stay on your blog longer.

They Are Tweeting Crazy, I Tell You!

The raving insanity that the business world has over Twitter is bigger than the YouTube craze back in the early 2000′s! Corporations and small business owners alike are looking to get a Twitter profile created to be able to stand in front of their customers.

Twitter is gaining a lot of traction in the business community as executives are seeing the possibilities. Pizza restaurants can have specials sent out to their followers, service stations tell their customers when their car is fixed, or messages them when there is a problem that needs their attention. Lube Express companies can tell their previous customers when it has been 3 months between oil changes.

Twitter Revolution

I read the Twitter Revolution and saw the future! Really, the book really covered a lot of the theory about why Twitter was so quickly growing by leaps and bounds, but it was not until I saw the Twitter TOOLS and how it was possible to make my business grow using twitter and the gadgets and gizmos that make it effective in any advertising and communication situation!

I will be reviewing Twitter Revolution later this week, but I wanted you to know how much information you can get from this book! Now Whenever I see Warren Whitlock or Debra Micek at events, I never see them without their cell phones, which is a prime way to use Twitter. Twitter was designed with the 140 character limit for tweets because of the SMS limitations (SMS is the messaging format for text messaging on cell phones). Because you can get updates via text messaging, it makes Twitter so much more effective than almost every other social network.

Businesses can tap into that by relling customers to turn on device updates so that they can contact them for urgent communications. Employers can contact employees with Twitter through DM (direct messages) direct to their cell phones, so that critical information can be sent to a team very quickly without investing in expensive equipment.

I do both professional corporate branding profiles and fun personal profiles, but I make them so that the important information is not hidden by Twitter content. I also add a feature where all of your links are readable when someone clicks on View Background and the browser shows the entire image.
