The crazy business world is trying to get you to notice them. You barely have time anymore to pay attention to all the noise surrounding you and it is tougher all the time to make sense of who you can listen to!
You have John Reese and Mashable exchanging heated blog posts over Twitter, but the very place that they are fighting about managed to handle both of them with ease. You see, when you want to find people who want to know about you, twitter is the place to be. You start out by searching out the people who interest you. Then you join in on some conversations.
By joining in, you are showing your knowledge, your personality and a little about yourself. This helps people decide if they want to follow you, because following is one-sided. You can sign up and start following everyone you see and you may get some people to reciprocate, but most will check out your posts first, and see if you are going to add to their conversation or take away from it.
When people see you posting, and they see that they can get value from following you, they often start following you, too!
The whole argument was mainly about the animosity that the author of the mashable post had for John Reese and Blogrush… But they used twitter to get word out about it and it soon took on a life of its own! Comments appeared on blogs rather quickly and soon the whole of twitter was buzzing about this battle.
Things seem to have calmed back down now, because the twitter users are heading off to bed!
I highly recommend you try twitter, just don’t be obnoxious or you will be one lonely tweep!
Have an amazing day!
Micheal
