I am having a two week affiliate race, where the first person
to make 25 sales will get $100 to their paypal. At the end of
the 2 weeks, the top three sellers will receive:
1st Place – $200
2nd Place – $100
3rd Place – $50

I have to qualify this, so I don’t end up losing my shirt…
total sales in the 2 week period must be over 50 sales (not
by any single person, but as a group) or the prizes will be
$100, $50 and $25 respectively.
However, if the sales end up being more than 100, the prizes
will double ($400, $200 and $100) and the first person to
reach 50 sales will win $100, too.
A total of $900 is up for grabs in this race:
$100 for first 25 sales
$100 for first 50 sales
1st Place Up to $400
2nd Place Up to $200
3rd Place Up to $100

I just decided to try out a service that pays you for publishing text links on your website.

I want to see if I get enough traffic to make this worthwhile, and if they pay well enough to recommend this to others.  So at this time I am just throwing this out there, I am neither recommending them or not recommending them.  The cool thing is they make it easy to include their content on your blog, if you use WordPress, which all of the Your Directory Websites Blogs are.

PS – Did you know that the major search engines are testing a local search process?  According to the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo and Google are testing accounts where once you are logged in, any searches you do will send result that are local to you above generalized results.  So if you were in New York and searched for “Giants Tickets” you would get different results (football) than if you were in San Francisco (baseball).  This is a marketer’s dream come true, because your keywords for local areas will finally make a difference.  And if you are bidding on a certain locality, your results will be more targeted even if the person did not type in the city or state…
