I love the chase. You know, going after what you want. It is the most thrilling thing, chasing after your dreams and goals. At my job (now I only have one and that gives me more time for the chase) I only get to chase after corporate goals, not my own. But when my badge hits the timeclock and I head home, the chase begins.
I have my ebook that will be relaunching in a few days (February 1 to be exact) and I am promoting affiliate products for some of my good friends. The chase is awesome.
The question is, do you have something you are chasing? Or is life chasing after you? I read a disturbing survey result from one of my daughters yesterday (she forgets that I am on her MySpace friends list) and she mentioned that she wants to be popular. Is that something worth chasing after? When I was in high school, I would have liked to be popular, but I just did not fit in. So popularity was not really a worthwhile pursuit of my time. I did not chase after it, because I did not feel it was a possibility.
My goals changed throughout my life, but they always included wanting to be more than a person who works for someone else. And I have been chasing that all my life. I am getting closer all of the time, and now that I have more time, I plan on using it for increasing the value I give to my customers and the readers of my blog and my emails. This will guarantee that more people will want to read my material, and following the plan out further, will want to buy based on my recommendations. This doesn’t happen overnight, but it happens.
I am still chasing it!
