The dream of every online entrepreneur is a mob of raving fans, watching your every move, just waiting for you to announce your next product so that they can pounce on it like a pack of hungry wolves on a freshly killed bunny! (no bunnies were harmed in the writing of this article)

See yourself mastering these 3 ways to whipping your audience into a frenzy:

1. Create a community site to let people tell the world how much they love the topic you have chosen. Myspace and Facebook are community sites, but they are too general for most of us to market directly. Picture the same concept in a highly focused topic like golf or Nascar, where people can boast about their favorite teams or players. The more time they spend on your community, the more they are convincing themselves and the world that they are very interested in the topic.

2. Write polls and surveys on the topic at hand and carefully craft your questions to make your prospects to decide whether they are really fans or just interested in the topic. Once people are telling you that they are really fans, they will do things to prove it to themselves (consistency – from Cialdini’s Influence: The Psychology Of Persuasion) and the world – which is a great time to pitch them on the products that are related to the topic!

3. Offer free tools that they can use related to the niche such as email addresses like nascar-fan.com, a blog community where everyone who blogs is using the same base url like nascar-blogging.com and their blog would be about that topic. This makes your domain a very important domain to the search engines, and the psychology of the people who are writing on the blog is one of people who are devoting a good portion of their time to a hobby! Not only are they likely to spend time, you can bet they are going to spend money!

Just think about the powerful results you are going to get when you combine the above methods in a domain that you own. You could get a dedicated server and the software to do the blog community and social network are totally free. The enterprise mailing software is more expensive, but it gives you complete control over links inside the emails (great for bringing in new traffic, selling new products or generating curiosity about new ideas) and links inside the members’ area. So you can make money by providing these free services to people that are laser targeted to your niche.

Intimidated by the prospect of setting up all of this software? I have some video training helping hundreds use software and blogs to do create products, traffic and income streams. You can get more information on this and many other video training programs at http://productinaweekend.com/video-training/

Also, you can sign up for Extreme Product Explosion and get recordings of experts from all areas of product creation and marketing!

Have an amazing day!

PS – Your stock with other joint venture partners will go up when you can show them a close knit community of buyers and loyal fans just begging you for more products! You can write your own commission percentages when you have a list like that!

  1. Hey Micheal … great reading excellent blog seems to me … the internet is like a great big information note book and the pages keep turning every day “even if we don’t want it too” … with better information that most folks who dip into this ever expanding book every day trying to solve there current wishes to find the latest greatest secret to wealth and prosperity and usually miss the point of the greatest secret is … ACTION … by taking ACTION on information learned comes out as knowledge learned so success can turn to WISDOM once that knowledge is implemented with strategies to the desired outcome …

Remembering that old saying by Benjamin Franklin “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different Results” I for one didn’t understand the saying the first time I heard it, so it wasn’t effective on me as it was intended to be. But I expect if my more successful friends keep quoting it, and quoting it, and quoting it, eventually, I might catch on and find the Truth that Lies Deep Within this Wise Saying.

All my best to you and your Strategy vs. Tactics

Hey Micheal, I see you gotta be different. You even spell Michael as Micheal.

I just came in to see your blog following from your email to me.
The first thing that struck me was the color you chose for your sub titles does not make easy reading.

Peach text surrounded by black text on a white background is not a good choice, especially for those of us who have anti-glare screens, or those with impaired eye sight.
Other than that the blog looks great, well done. I’ll pop in from time to time to read your work.

What do you see as the best way to monetize social sites/blogs as you recommend in this post? Monthly fee or ads or products? Some combination? Thanks for your thoughts.
