I am getting excited. I get to spend time with some of the cream of the Internet Marketing Crop along with some of the Offline Marketing Experts, too! On June 6 through 8th, jvAlert Live will be in Trevose, PA (Philadelphia) and I will finally get to spend time with my mentor – Ken McArthur, and the hundreds of people he calls his “family.”

Now that Ken’s book and coaching program are fully launched, Ken is going to be focusing on his boot camp coming up in August, and this jvAlert Live will give everyone a glimpse into the future as we’ll see some of the experts that will be speaking at the boot camp in attendance at this event, too! If you have any intention of taking your business out of the hobby stage, then you really ought to be at the event. This is where you will see people who are copywriters, graphic artists, programmers, web design experts and promotional experts all together in one location, each looking to make friends and build relationships with other marketers who might be able to offer them something in return for their services.

Sometimes, just buying someone lunch is enough to get that one piece of information that has kept you out of the profit zone all this time. I know that one properly invested beer helped get me from a nobody to at least a more known figure in marketing circles. This time I am going to be bringing more money, so I can buy lunch for some people that I would like to interview for Extreme Product Explosion. This is prime time for finding the folks who are doing it in the online world and getting to know them. Last year, I got to meet Michel and Sylvie Fortin, and we found that we had a lot in common (since I come from Quebec, Canada originally and my name was Michel before I became an American citizen). While I still couldn’t pick up the phone and call Michel and ask him for help, we have already broken the ice to a point where he would recognize me if I came up to him and said hi.

When you meet people at events, the best thing you can talk about is them. You want to learn everything about them. People love to talk about themselves anyway, so if you ask them about their family, business and hobbies, they will develop a more positive image of you in their mind than if you went up to them and started incessantly talking about your website and how your customers are driving you up the wall with all the support tickets you are having to answer.

If you are in Philadelphia June 6 – 8 and you have a chance to come to jvAlert, I highly recommend it. You can still get jvAlert tickets here.

Have an amazing day!

Micheal

PS – If you buy a jvAlert ticket from the above link you can join me and a group of VIP’s for dinner on Thursday June 5th evening (I’ll buy dinner for everyone who buys a ticket).
